Can-Do Conservative Hero André Bauer For Congress (SC-7)!

Every ten years, depending on the results of the census States lose or gain Congressional seats.  One of the states that gained a Congressional district is The Palmetto State of South Carolina.  Recently I learned that former Lt. Governor André Bauer was considering a run for Congress.  A few weeks back he made it official.  We are very proud to endorse his campaign!

Last year during his run for Governor André stuck out his neck on principle and demanded an end to the cycle of Government dependence.  Democrats and even his Republican opponents threw the kitchen sink at him but André didn’t back down.  He paid a political price for standing for us and for what is right.  He was willing to stand up against an inconvenient truth and that is why we named him a “Can-Do Conservative Hero” last year.

Throughout his years representing the Palmetto State in its State Legislature andthen  as Lt. Governor, André Bauer took it upon himself to make sure that people with disabilities, Veterans, the elderly, and the poor were represented by offering a hand up to them instead of hand outs so that they were empowered. He was volunteering his time for those citizens even before his life of public service as a politician

André Bauer is the kind of Republican we need running and we need winning  The people of Coastal South Carolina should send him to Washington because he will go and fight for what is right, no matter what the consequences.  That is why we are proud to endorse his campaign for Congress!

Please visit André’s web site, “like” him on Facebook, follow the campaign on Twitter, and please make a contribution to André’s campaign to bring Common-sense Conservative leadership to Washington.

Our Question For The Republican Presidential Candidates

NOTE – There will be no endorsement given to any candidate in the 2012 GOP Presidential primary.  After the nominee is chosen we will then determine if the nominee is worthy of endorsement.

This Saturday in Iowa a very important forum will be held for the Republican Candidates for President, organized by The Family Leader, a Conservative organization led by former Gubernatorial candidate and “Can-Do conservative Hero” Bob Vander Plaats (he also serves as our honorary State Chairman).  the Forum will be moderated by Frank Luntz.  Back when the forum was announced a request went out for question to be asked at the forum and we submitted a question.  We are not aware if the following question will be asked so we are publishing that question public for everyone to see.

Due to the policies of the current administration, there is an accelerated vicious cycle of Government dependence that is robbing countless Americans (many who are poor and/or have disabilities) the opportunity to pursue the American Dream.   If elected, what is your plan to reverse this cycle?

We hope that the Republican candidates for President will have the opportunity to be asked this question because it is definitely not being asked by the media in their so called “Debates” in which the American People end up learning nothing substantive about the candidates except whether they can answer questions (asked by moderators with biased agendas).

If any of the candidates answer this question, we will post their answers below.  .

Calling For A Veteran’s Bill of Rights

On this Veteran’s Day we would like to send a special thank you to all of the brave men & women who have served (or are serving) our Nation bravely and with honor.  We owe y’all a debt of gratitude that we can’t come close to repaying.  Y’all are our heroes and deserve all the thanks and appreciation we can give you.  In the recent past we have been bailing out banks and irresponsible corporations.  While we shouldn’t be doing any of that, if we are it is our Veterans, our true heroes, that should be at the very front of that line!

We have a better idea.  The time has come for a Veteran’s Bill of Rights.  We are proud to stand by the Bill of Rights, as proposed by Governor Mike Huckabee during his 2008 Presidential campaign as follows:

I support the following VETERANS’ BILL OF RIGHTS for issues that are not being adequately addressed:

The right to a mandatory rather than a discretionary mechanism for funding veterans’ health care, to eliminate year-to-year uncertainty that the funds they need will be there for them

The right to obtain full and clear explanation of all benefits and comprehensive assistance in obtaining those benefits.

The right to have a claim processed within six months.

The right to the fullest possible accounting of the fate of POW/MIAs and the right to be designated as POW/MIA.

The right to access state-of-the-art treatment facilities for traumatic brain injuries.

The right of National Guard and Reserve personnel called to active service to receive the same benefits as active duty veterans.

The right of disabled veterans to receive both their military retirement and VA compensation.

The right of wounded Reserve troops to be treated like their active duty counterparts until their claims have been processed.

The right of wounded veterans and those who have served in combat theaters to a comprehensive GI bill that provides full tuition, books, fees, and living expenses at any institution to which the veteran is accepted.

We shouldn’t be thanking our Veterans just on this day, but each of the other 364 days of the year.  If it wasn’t for them answering our Nation’s call we could not enjoy the freedoms that we are blessed to have today.

WE SALUTE YOU!!!

Our Fight Continues & Our Resolve is Steadfast

Tuesday night’s election results were a mixed bag of success and defeat that left both sides of the political spectrum claiming victory with 2012 looming on the horizon.  One 2 of our candidates were successfully elected to office on Tuesday, Phil Bryant as Mississippi’s new Governor and Lynn Fitch as Mississippi’s new State Treasurer.  Another success was that Ohioans voted against the Obamacare mandate and we definitely applaud that (while sadly overturning the passed law that limited collective bargaining for public-sector unions that has been and now will continue to suck the coffers dry at state and local level).

The biggest disappointment of the evening was definitely the Personhood Amendment that failed in Mississippi.  However, over a quarter Million citizens declared with their vote that life begins at conception, despite a heavy smear campaign by Planned Parenthood.  The effort to get Personhood on the ballot is a very new one and we are glad that to hear that those in charge of the effort in Mississippi are not deterred and will try again.  We will fight with them from day one next time.

There were excellent candidates who did not win and policy ideas that failed at the ballot box on Tuesday but as 2012 draws near, regardless of outcome our fight continues and our resolve is steadfast. The endorsing and support of solid Conservative candidates will continue as we must increase the Conservative ranks in The House and a hopefully Republican Controlled Senate  to work with a Conservative President (or to keep an Establishment Republican accountable), as we definitely need to defeat the destructive polices of our current President.

As one of our elected States Reps in Iowa, Tom Shaw, likes to say – “We must endeavor to persevere”.  We must and we will!

Jim Bridenstine For Congress (OK-1)

Jim Bridenstine with his wife Michelle and his family

In November of last year Americans sent Washington a very clear message.  STOP SPENDING US INTO OBLIVION. In the process we sent some excellent citizen legislators up there to hold the line for our Nation.  However it is clear that some  legislators haven’t gotten the message.

One of them is 10-year Republican incumbent John Sullivan (OK-1) who voted to raise the debt ceiling yet again earlier this year.  Even worse is the fact that when he did so he voted to create the very dangerous “Super committee”.  John Sullivan was primaried last year by several candidates in order to keep him accountable.  However it is clear that Sullivan is out of touch with his constituents.  Therefore, it’s time to send a true common-sense Constitutional Conservative to Washington in John Sullivan’s place.

The great news for the citizens of Oklahoma’s 1st District is that there is an excellent candidate challenging John Sullivan next year.  His name is  Jim Bridenstine.  Jim is a Lt. Commander in the US Navy and the former Executive Director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.   After researching and speaking with Jim it is clear that he is the right man for the job.

Jim Bridenstine regularly flies missions in America’s war on drugs and he understands first-hand the consequences of an open border policy. He will stand firm for border security. Jim is a Christian who understands that every person is created for a purpose and he is dedicated to protecting human life from conception to natural death and supports a Human Life Amendment to the Constitution. He is also a fiscal conservative who will fight for spending cuts, a Balanced Budget Amendment, and a complete overhaul to the tax code. Jim also understands that high energy prices hit people with disabilities especially hard and he supports free-market energy policies that increase domestic production and reduce prices. Jim believes we should drill here and drill now.

Jim is the right man, for the right job, at the right time.  He will fight hard  to end the accelerated and vicious cycle of Government dependence that exists due to the policies of the current administration.  That is why we are very proud to endorse Jim for Congress and urge all the citizens of the 1st District of Oklahoma to send him to Washington next year.  Oklahoma and America will be a better place with Jim in Congress.  We are proud to support him.

Please take some time to visit Jim’s Website, “Like” him on Facebook, follow his campaign on Twitter, and make a contribution to Jim’s campaign

This is our 2nd Congressional endorsement in Oklahoma for the 2012 election cycle.  Earlier this month we endorsed George Faught in OK-2.  I look forward to the opportunity to return to Oklahoma to campaign for these excellent Conservative candidates.  You might be interested in an article published in the Tulsa World during the last trip to Oklahoma last July.

David Williams – Kentucky

Bobby Jindal – Louisiana*

Phil Bryant - Mississippi

Secretary of State:

Bill Johnson – Kentucky

Attorney General:

Todd P’Pool – Kentucky

NOTE – Louisiana holds its elections on October 22nd.  All other states hold general elections on Tuesday, November 8th.

In addition we urge Ohioans to vote Yes on ballot initiatives 2 and 3.  Ballot initiative 2 will keep in place Governor Kasich’s efforts to limit the crippling effects of public sector unions.  Ballot initiative 3 would protect Ohioans from Obamacare’s individual mandate.

Furthermore we strongly urge the citizens of Mississippi to vote Yes on 26, which would add a State Constitutional Amendment  establishing Personhood in the state of Mississippi and set up a Constitutional challenge to Roe vs Wade (1973)

We urge voters in these states to get out and vote for these solid Conservative candidates and ballot initiatives!
