In this section you will find our positions on the issues that are important to us. Our nation has serious problems and these solutions will improve our quality of life and put an end to the vicious cycle of Government dependence.
The pages are still under construction but in the meantime, here’s a more brief synopsis of our positions (in no particular order of importance). Each one will be explained in more detail very soon
- The main plank of our economic platform is abolishing the 16th Amendment and replacing our current tax system with the FairTax. With that said we recognize that a long drawn -out process must take place for this to occur. In the meantime we should be lowering tax rates while significantly cutting Government spending (thus decreasing our deficit and debt)
- In the same vein the time has finally come to stop talking about balanced budgets – It’s time for a Balanced Budget Amendment. Since every American must live within his (or her) means the Government should be no exception. 49 of 50 states are required to balance their budgets. The Federal Government must play by the same rules
- We need common sense energy policies that will end our dependence on foreign oil for our energy needs.without adding burdens to American business (ie we are completely against Cap & Trade). Skyrocketing costs for energy adversely affect the poor, elderly, and those with disabilities more than anyone else. More regulations increase energy costs and are passed down to us the consumer.
- Education must be reformed and it should start with abolishing Department of Education Our children deserve better than a federal bureaucracy enabling mediocrity. States and local schools can better educate our children with the Feds getting in the way.
- We must secure our borders and fight Illegal immigration. While we are thankful for a Nation that people are wanting to get into instead of the other way around, we must respect the rule of law. People who are here illegally are stealing jobs and benefits away from people with disabilities who are in greater need.
- Obamacare must be repealed and replaced with common-sense private sector solutions that do not result in the Government rationing care and deciding which pregnancies are viable.
- The intrinsic value and worth of each human life, from conception until natural death must be honored and protected. Ultimately Roe vs Wade must be overturned and a Human Life Amendment must be established.
These are our major policy positions.. You will notice that there are several issues that are not discussed (such as the 2nd Amendment, foreign policy, and marriage). The reason for that is because these issues, while important issues, have no direct effect on Americans with disabilities. There are other outstanding Conservative organizations out there that focus on them.
